Hi, I'm Sam!

I'm a professional aquatic biologist based out of Ontario, Canada. My technical background is in fish ecology and fisheries management. I'm dedicated to the conservation and sustainable management of aquatic ecosystems and my work is driven by a strong commitment to protect the environmentment.

I am also an artist and illustrator. My creative work aims to portray the natural world with accuracy, depth, and attention to detail, bridging science and art to communicate the beauty and complexity of nature. I love all creatures, and enjoy capturing each unique feature with paint on paper.

Beyond my professional practice you can find me outside with my dog Lou, skiing, swimming, hiking, and biking.
